Treasure Hunting: Folk Culture in the Greater is an annual heavyweight project launched by Southern Metropolis Daily and N Video, under the guidance of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department. This project includes eight micro-documentaries and one virtual puppet animation. The series uses 4K display and interactive animation to vividly showcase the lesser-known folk culture and the stories of setting sail for trade in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

This program is the first time he goes in front of the camera to explore the stories behind the food with his own perspective. Chen travels to eight different regions in China, where he works with different guides to complete his own flavor journey. He believes that “food is not only delicious, but also a kind of adhesive that allows for more understanding and communication.”
